SXSW week

It is friday and spring break is almost over! Next week we will be working on the africa unit and perhaps starting the South West Asia unit. I have been having a great semester and have learned a lot about geography.

It also happens to be the time of South By South West here in Austin. The name is often abbreviated to SXSW. It is a music festival where hundreds of bands from all over the world come here and play! It is amazing all the different types of music you can hear. One of my good friends played with his band on Thursday. I am sending a CD of theirs in the culture package. The band is called Austin Collins, after the lead singer.
